 A Fact

It is common belief among older supporters that Willie McCallum was the club's best ever player. He was a mainstay and major asset to the club in the 70s, he was often asked for his autograph which is rare for players at junior level.
The club has found it difficult to emulate the success of the 70s team. However a new Management team was installed in January 2006, when the team was all but relegated. A 3 year plan was installed to get the team promoted in the first full season (2007–08) which was achieved, consolidate in season 2 (2008–09) which also was achieved and be a challenging force in season 3. Wardlaw and Campbell are currently assembling squad for the season ahead and hopefully they can succeed in 2012/13.
The current Manager Alan Wardlaw supported the club as a kid, then played in the eighties, nineties and actually played in season (2008–09) at the ripe age of 44 when the keeper got injured. He was player coach and then assistant manager to Andy Cunningham. Left to join Larkhall in 2003 and returned as Manager in 2006.
Alan Wardlaw is now assisted by Billy Campbell, ex Dundee Utd player Jimmy Kerr and Alan Shields.
The record attendance for a game at Somervell Park is 13,500
Colours: Royal blue shirts, white shorts, royal blue socks. Traditionally the colours were Royal blue shirts, White shorts and black socks with a red top. From Wikipedia
