A Fact
Raydale Park, that served as the home ground of Gretna until the club resigned from the Scottish Football League in 2008. Gretna played most of their home games at Raydale during their existence inEnglish non-league football and then during their period in the Scottish Football League. When a goal was scored, "Ghostbusters" by Ray Parker, Jr. used to play on the PA system, for no obvious reason.
Gretna played most of their games in the 2007-08 season at Fir ParkMotherwell because Raydale did not meet SPL requirements.[1] This meant a 150 mile round trip for fans from the Gretna area. Gretna also played a UEFA Cup match (a 1-5 defeat to Derry City) at Fir Park because Raydale was inadequate for that competition.[2]
Gretna had planned to leave Raydale Park and move to an eco-stadium in Gretna Green.[3][4] These plans never came to fruition as the club suffered severe financial problems during the 2007-08 season.
These financial problems are now expected to lead to the sale of the ground for a use other than football.[5] Supporters of Gretna FC formed Gretna 2008, a new club that started by playing their home games at the Everholm Stadium in Annan.Dumfries and Galloway Council ruled out bidding for the stadium, which they wanted to preserve for recreational use. It was reported by the BBC that it was likely that Raydale would be sold to developers "outside of football",[6] but the new buyers, Sawtry (IoM) allowed Gretna 2008 to move into Raydale in May 2009.[7]
In May 2011 Sawtry agreed to sell the ground, along with the social club and market on-site, to the Raydale Community Partnership, a group made up of members from a community council and from Gretna 2008. The £250,000 deal is to be finalised on 28 May 2011.From Wikipedia

History
Celtic Nations was established in 2005, with current Chairman Steven Skinner a co-founder.[1] The club was originally known as Gillford Park Spartans and joined Division Two of the Northern Alliance in 2005.[2] They finished second in the first season in the division, and were promoted to Division One.[2] In 2006 the club changed its name to Gillford Park, winning Division One of the Northern Alliance at the first attempt, earning promotion to the Premier Division.[3]
After finishing third in the Premier Division in 2007–08, the club finished second the following season, and were promoted to Division Two of the Northern League.[3] In 2009–10 and 2010–11 the club finished eleventh in Division Two, before finishing second in 2011–12 and earning promotion to Division One.[1]
In 2012 the club adopted its current name, and also attracted sponsorship from Frank Lynch, an American millionaire.[1] The extra money allowed the club to sign several ex-professional players, including Paul ArnisonAdam Boyd and Graeme Lee.[1]
Former Newcastle United assistant manager Mick Wadsworth was appointed manager in late April 2013[4] with Mick revealing that he had turned down an assistant manager role at a League One side to take up the challenge at Celtic Nation.[5]Tony Caig was later appointed as a goalkeeper coach for the club and would be working the side part-time alongside his duties at Carlisle UnitedFrom Wikipedia
